InstallConstruct – Utility to Create Installer for Windows
Review by on
The first thing you need to know about the FileStream Inc-developed application InstallConstruct is what it is and what it can do to make your life easier. I will try and provide you with a to-the-point, comprehensive explanation, so here goes: InstallConstruct is a Windows utility that allows you to come up with basic to advanced installers for Windows. You can use this application to come up with setup wizards and HTML-based installations, as well as uninstallers.

The great thing about InstallConstruct is that it is quite easy to use. The application comes with a step-by-step interface that allows you to easily and quickly create simple or advanced installers. You do not need to have a lot of programming or technical experience under your belt to pull this off; just follow the step-by-step instructions and you will be done in no time at all.

To better put things in perspective, here are some of InstallConstruct’s main features:
- Create an installation package that will run without bothering the user with prompts.
- You can direct users to web page where your program will be automatically downloaded and installed.
- Completely customize the installer if you use InstallConstruct to package your software.
- Protect your package by using either one universal password, or have InstallConstruct randomly generate a series of serial codes in any display format.
- Select up to ten programs to run before, during, or after the installation.
- Automatically create an MSI file to be used with the Windows Installer.

Before you go get InstallConstruct and put it to the test, take a look at the technical details presented below:
Download – the download weighs in at 4.8MB.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, InstallConstruct provides support for Windows 98, 2000, XP, 2003 Server, Vista, 2008 Server, and Windows 7
Limitations – some features are disabled in the trial version.

If you’re looking for a fast and easy way to create an installer for your application without writing a line of code, then you need to give InstallConstruct a try.
